]]>Not much is known about this film just yet, apart from the fact it will see the world-famous detective Benoit Blanc solve another murder mystery. We’re expecting to learn more about it in the next few weeks since Wake Up Dead Man is set to go into production next month.
In addition to putting a modern twist on the whodunit genre, the previous two films had one more thing in common – their A-list ensemble cast, joining Daniel Craig in the lead role. The third film will be no exception, and it will officially star Josh O’Connor and Cailee Spaeny, while Tom Hardy and Lindsay Lohan are reportedly circling this project.
Josh O’Connor is fresh off leading one of the buzziest films of 2024, Luca Guadagnino’s tennis drama Challengers, and he’s best known for his Emmy-winning portrayal of Princes Charles in The Crown. As for Cailee Spaeny, her star has been on the rise since she won the Volpi Cup for Priscilla, and we’ve seen her make a transition to Hollywood blockbusters with roles in Civil War and Alien: Romulus.

]]>Directed by Fede Álvarez (Don’t Breathe), who co-wrote the script alongside Rodo Sayagues, Alien: Romulus takes us back to the roots of this beloved franchise. The standalone film is set between the events of Alien (1979) and Aliens (1986), and here’s what it has in store:
“While scavenging the deep ends of a derelict space station, a group of young space colonizers come face to face with the most terrifying life form in the universe,” reads 20th Century Studio’s official synopsis.
Alien: Romulus will introduce us to a group of brand-new characters, played by Cailee Spaeny (Priscilla), Isabela Merced (Madame Web), David Jonsson (Rye Lane), Archie Renaux (Shadow and Bone), Spike Fearn (Aftersun), and Aileen Wu.
Álvarez reached out to Ridley Scott and James Cameron while working on this film, and said they were impressed by his approach to the source material.
“Whatever Ridley said, Cameron said something different. They were all super smart comments, notes, and thoughts on the film and the filmmaking, et cetera, but both of them have completely different approaches,” Álvarez told The Hollywood Reporter.
Alien: Romulus is hitting the theaters on August 16, after the 20th Century Studio decided to shift from streaming to theatrical release.

]]>Coppola’s story about one of the music industry’s most iconic power couples chronicles all the ups and downs they went through over the years—from their meeting in Germany and Priscilla’s move to the US to their dreamy wedding and ultimate separation and divorce.
Coppola’s biopic is based on the 1985 memoir Elvis and Me by Priscilla Presley and Sandra Harmon, and she was captivated by this story ever since reading it for the first time.
“I was just so interested in Priscilla’s story and her perspective on what it all felt like to grow up as a teenager in Graceland. She was going through all the stages of young womanhood in such an amplified world—kinda similar to Marie Antoinette,” the director told Vogue.
Priscilla is expected to hit the theatres in October, and its supporting cast includes Raine Monroe Boland, Emily Mitchell, Dagmara Domińczyk, Jorja Cadence, Rodrigo Fernandez-Stoll, and Luke Humphrey.
