Multiple outlets report that Disney is officially pushing Soul from June 19 to November 20. The delay in schedule also means that Raya and the Last Dragon which was originally set to open on November 25, will now open on March 12, 2021.

Soul’s scheduling shift is the latest pic to join the studio’s shuffled release calendar with Mulan pushed to July 24, Black Widow to November 7 and The Eternals to February of 2021. In other words — due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, a major Disney movie isn’t set to open in theaters until the end of July.

Soul follows a middle-school music teacher, voiced by Jamie Foxx, who dreams of being a jazz performer but he then gets in an accident that causes his soul to be separated from his body.

A second film based on The Simpsons, starring Maggie Simpson just debuted on Disney+. 

The Simpsons creator Matt Groening took to social media to announce the news. 

“Greetings Friends! Earlier this year we made a nifty little short film called Playdate with Destiny. The response was so gratifying we wanted everyone to see it at home. So here ya go — stream it starting April 10th on Disney Plus.”

The 1-year-old toddler also starred in the 2012 Academy Award-nominated film, Maggie Simpson in ‘The Longest Daycare’.

The follow-up to the 2019 hit film is officially underway, according to The Hollywood Reporter. 

While there’s still no title or premiere date, it is confirmed that Disney and Marvel launched the development of a sequel to the 2019 hit film, which starred Brie Larson and Samuel L. Jackson.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, who co-wrote and directed the 2019 pic, are not set to reprise their roles in the forthcoming film. The studios are looking to tap the talent of WandaVision scribe Megan McDonnell instead.

WandaVision is McDonnell’s first major writing credit; the Marvel-based series is set to debut later this year on Disney+. 

Captain Marvel banked $1.1 billion at the box office worldwide.

But Disney might have reason to worry as Kenyan activists have accused the company of effectively stealing their culture.

The trademark means the phrase cannot be used by any other organization or on merchandise by any other company unless with prior approval from Disney.

With “hakuna matata” being a common phrase in Swahili, many speakers have been shocked and angered by the trademark, leading to activists saying the company has no right to the phrase.

Guess it’s not such a problem-free philosophy…

Featuring the opening scene where baby Simba is introduced to the animal kingdom, who all bow in his honor, Mufasa can be heard saying, “Everything the light touches is our kingdom. The trailer was released on Thursday and managed to become Disney’s most-watched trailer in 24 hours.

Host of America’s Next Top Model, Tyra Banks, confirmed on The Steve Harvey Show in April that a sequel to the Disney film was in the works, with her reprising her role as Eve.

The now-living doll returns to help out a struggling toy executive, Grace — played by Grown-ish actress Francia Raisa — who is new the CEO of the toy company that produced the Eve doll and going through a quarter-life crisis, which is causing the company’s stock to plummet.

Freedom has announced that Life-Size 2 will premiere on its network on the 2nd of December — complete with all of Eve’s amazing outfits!

The Disney animation originally came out in 1955 and tells the story of a female American Cocker Spaniel named Lady who lives with a refined, upper-middle-class family, and a male stray mongrel called the Tramp.

The pair are set to be voiced by Westworld actress Tessa Thompson and Justin Theroux of Maniac.

Janelle will take on the role of pound dog Peg, who was voiced by another singer in the original, Peggy Lee.

The rest of the cast includes Ugly Betty actress Ashley Jensen as Scottish terrier Jackie, while Doctor Strange star Benedict Wong will play English bulldog Bull.

Charlie Bean, who directed The Lego Ninjago Movie, will helm the project.
