]]>Everything Everywhere came into the night as the most-nominated film, and it managed to come out victorious in all the categories where it received a nod. Most notably, it defeated the likes of Women Talking and Tár to win the night’s shiniest trophy: best feature.
Its cast was also on top of their game, with Michelle Yeoh, Ke Huy Quan, and Stephanie Hsu all collecting awards in their respective categories. Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert picked up the trophies for best director and best screenplay, while Paul Rogers won best editing.
It was also a big night for The Bear, and FX’s poignant culinary dramedy managed to pick up all two awards it was nominated for. It was named the best new scripted series, while Ayo Edebiri defeated her co-star Ebon Moss-Bachrach to collect the trophy for the best supporting performance.
The 38th Independent Spirit Awards returned to Santa Monica Pier, California on March 4, with Hasan Minhaj serving as the first-time host.

]]>Everything Everywhere managed to beat Babylon, The Banshees of Inisherin, The Fabelmans, and Women Talking to win outstanding performance by a cast in a motion picture, but this trophy was just the icing on the cake.
By the time the cast of Everything Everywhere picked up the night’s biggest award, Michelle Yeoh, Ke Huy Quan, and Jamie Lee Curtis already won trophies for their individual performances. Yeoh and Quan made history as the first Asian actors to win in their respective categories.
The White Lotus was the biggest winner on the TV side with a total of two awards: outstanding performance by an ensemble in a drama series and outstanding performance by a female actor in a drama series (Jennifer Coolidge). The cast of Abbott Elementary also had a reason to celebrate on Sunday night, after winning the award for outstanding performance by an ensemble in a comedy series.
The 29th Screen Actors Guild Awards took place on February 26, and the ceremony was streamed live on Netflix’s YouTube channel, marking the start of the SAG Awards’ partnership with the streamer.

Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert won awards for best directing and best screenplay, while Paul Rogers was named the best editor. Ke Huy Quan continued his Oscar campaign by winning another trophy for best supporting actor.
Better Call Saul was the clear leader in the television categories, with a total of three awards. In addition to winning the trophy for the best drama series, its stars Bob Odenkirk and Giancarlo Esposito collected awards for the best actor and best supporting actor in a drama series, respectively.
The 28th Critics’ Choice Awards returned to the Fairmont Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles, California on January 15, with Chelsea Handler serving as the host.

]]>Everything Everywhere came into the night as the most-nominated film, and it managed to come out victorious in all the categories where it received a nod. Most notably, it defeated the likes of Women Talking and Tár to win the night’s shiniest trophy: best feature.
Its cast was also on top of their game, with Michelle Yeoh, Ke Huy Quan, and Stephanie Hsu all collecting awards in their respective categories. Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert picked up the trophies for best director and best screenplay, while Paul Rogers won best editing.
It was also a big night for The Bear, and FX’s poignant culinary dramedy managed to pick up all two awards it was nominated for. It was named the best new scripted series, while Ayo Edebiri defeated her co-star Ebon Moss-Bachrach to collect the trophy for the best supporting performance.
The 38th Independent Spirit Awards returned to Santa Monica Pier, California on March 4, with Hasan Minhaj serving as the first-time host.

]]>Everything Everywhere managed to beat Babylon, The Banshees of Inisherin, The Fabelmans, and Women Talking to win outstanding performance by a cast in a motion picture, but this trophy was just the icing on the cake.
By the time the cast of Everything Everywhere picked up the night’s biggest award, Michelle Yeoh, Ke Huy Quan, and Jamie Lee Curtis already won trophies for their individual performances. Yeoh and Quan made history as the first Asian actors to win in their respective categories.
The White Lotus was the biggest winner on the TV side with a total of two awards: outstanding performance by an ensemble in a drama series and outstanding performance by a female actor in a drama series (Jennifer Coolidge). The cast of Abbott Elementary also had a reason to celebrate on Sunday night, after winning the award for outstanding performance by an ensemble in a comedy series.
The 29th Screen Actors Guild Awards took place on February 26, and the ceremony was streamed live on Netflix’s YouTube channel, marking the start of the SAG Awards’ partnership with the streamer.

Its stars Michelle Yeoh, Ke Huy Quan, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Stephanie Hsu are also in the running in their respective acting categories. The list of acting nominees includes many surprises this year, from Andrea Riseborough for To Leslie to Brian Tyree Henry for Causeway.
The 95th Academy Awards are taking place at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on March 12. Jimmy Kimmel is returning as the ceremony’s first solo host since 2018.

]]>Everything Everywhere defeated tough competition to win the night’s biggest award: best picture, after topping the list of nominees with record 14 nods. The list of contenders in this field also included The Banshees of Inisherin, The Fabelmans, and Avatar: The Way of Water.
Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert won awards for best directing and best screenplay, while Paul Rogers was named the best editor. Ke Huy Quan continued his Oscar campaign by winning another trophy for best supporting actor.
Better Call Saul was the clear leader in the television categories, with a total of three awards. In addition to winning the trophy for the best drama series, its stars Bob Odenkirk and Giancarlo Esposito collected awards for the best actor and best supporting actor in a drama series, respectively.
The 28th Critics’ Choice Awards returned to the Fairmont Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles, California on January 15, with Chelsea Handler serving as the host.
