]]>Universal Pictures has unveiled the poster for the upcoming James Bond flick, and dare we say, Daniel Craig looks rather dapper.
No Time to Die will be the Knives Out star’s last adventure as the secret agent whom he has played since Casino Royale in 2006.
He will be joined in the film by Rami Malek, Christoph Waltz, Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Rory Kinnear, Ben Winshaw, Léa Seydoux, and Jeffrey Wright.
The 25th installment in the franchise has not had an easy road to production.
Danny Boyle was initially attached as director, with John Hodge penning a script based on an idea by the Slumdog Millionaire filmmaker. When creative differences arose with the producers, both left the project. Several months went by before Cary Jo Fukunaga of Beasts of No Nation took over.
Production was delayed again several times due to Craig injuring himself on set, and a controlled explosion damaging the stage.
With all en route once again, No Time to Die is scheduled for release on April 8th, 2020.

]]>The newly-minted Oscar winner has been confirmed to star as the villain in the forthcoming Bond flick, which will signify the super spy’s 25th outing on screen.
“I promise you all I will be making sure Mr. Bond does not have an easy ride of it in this, his 25th outing,” he said.
Producers of Bond 25, as it is still called, released a promo video from series creator Ian Fleming’s lavish Golden Eye estate in Jamaica, where the film will be set.
Daniel Craig’s final appearance as 007 will begin in Jamaica, where he has retired from active service and is enjoying a tranquil life. All that changes when his friend from the FBI (played by Jeffrey Wright) shows up asking for help in rescuing a kidnapped scientist.
Ana De Armas and Lashana Lynch will be starring as the latest Bond girls in a cast that also includes Ralph Fiennes, Ben Winshaw, Naomie Harris, Léa Seydoux, Rory Kinnear, Billy Magnusson, Dali Benssalah, and David Dencik.
Cary Joji Fukunaga will direct the film which opens on the 8th of April, 2020.

]]>Trainspotting director, Danny Boyle, was set to helm Bond 25 but dropped out last month due to creative differences, leaving the fate of the project in jeopardy.
As Danny and his collaborator had penned the script, producers were also forced to find new writers for the film which will be the last starring Daniel Craig as 007.
Longtime Bond screenwriters, Neal Purvis, and Robert Wade, have now been hired to write the screenplay, while Cary Joji Fukunaga has been brought on to direct.
Fukunaga, who has previously directed season one of True Detective and Beasts of No Name starring (the possible future James Bond) Idris Elba, will be the first American to direct part of the franchise.
Producers Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli have praised Fukunaga’s “versatility and innovation”.

]]>Speculation has been rife that the English actor will be donning a tuxedo and taking on the role of James Bond after Daniel Craig vacates the role.
With the incumbent 007 confirming that the upcoming Bond 25 will be his last, deliberation over who will take over as the suave spy has amped into full swing.
It appears as though producers have also been mulling the candidates, with Barbara Broccoli this week telling director Antoine Fuqua that it is time for a non-white actor to be Bond.
“Idris could do it if he was in shape. You need a guy with a physically strong presence. Idris has that,” said The Magnificent Seven filmmaker.
Idris himself now seems to be dropping hints, with his latest tweet:

“My name’s Elba, Idris Elba,” wrote the Luther star before following it up by telling people not to believe the hype.
Don’t believe the HYPE…
