That moment is finally here, and we now know her next album will be titled 143, a colloquial term for “I Love You.” It will be released on September 20 via Capitol Records, and “Woman’s World” will serve as its first single.

Perry shared more details about 143 in an Instagram Live and said it was born out of her idea to make a dance album and an acoustic album, before eventually settling on one of them.

“I finally made the dance album, the album I always wanted to make… This record is super high energy, it’s super summer, it’s very high BPM. We just had a family dance party to one of the songs, and it’s just full of so much joy, so much love, so much light,” she explained.

She teased its release with a cover that shows her posing in white mesh top and metal boots and revealed it would hit the shelves on July 11, while its music video will be released one day later.

“Woman’s World” will serve as the lead single on Perry’s new album, the follow-up to her 2020 record Smile. She previously told Good Morning America there’s a reason why she hasn’t put out any new material since giving birth to her daughter Daisy, but revealed she’s been writing a lot of new material recently.

“I think that I’m writing a lot and have written a lot from a place of love because I’m feeling so much of it – so much unconditional love, that love you never knew existed… I will be back, but let me get this right,” Perry explained.
