]]>The first installment of the untitled project from The Office alum is heading to FX. Novak will write, direct and executive produce the series.
“Thrilled, excited, humbled — these are the words in every press release, and I can’t believe how much I actually mean them,” Novak said in a statement. “This is my dream show, and FX is the dream place to make it. When I brought it to FX, I wondered if it went too far, and they told me, you can go further. I can’t wait to get started.”
The untitled series has already started filming, and each episode will feature a different cast.
“We have been admirers of BJ Novak for a long time,” said Nick Grad of FX. “We loved his creative twist on the anthology format, and he delivered on two phenomenal episodes. We are looking forward to going into production on the rest of the season and supporting BJ’s ambitious vision for this project.”

]]>Gleeson, who played the sadistic King Joffrey on HBO’s critically acclaimed drama, is returning to TV after a six-year hiatus from acting.
The 27-year-old Brit has joined the BBC comedy Out of Her Mind. The series hails from comedienne Sara Pascoe, as well as Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, who are on board as executive producers.
According to Variety, the series will explore heartbreak, family and how to survive them both.
“Out Of Her Mind is a direct expression of my mind. We’ve turned my brain into a theme-park, and everyone’s invited,” said Pascoe. “The cast are INCREDIBLE and I can’t wait for people to see what we’ve made.”

]]>Multiple outlets confim that Laura Dern has been cast in a new Quibi series from Nick Hornby.
The forthcoming series, titled Just One Drink, will be comprised of a series of one-act vignettes between Dern, a bartender, and the customers she serves, all of whom are in various states of emotional disrepair, according to Variety.
Dern joins a slew of A-listers tapped by the quick format platform for upcoming productions, including Guillermo del Toro, Antoine Fuqua, Sam Raimi, Jason Blum, Steven Soderbergh, Catherine Hardwick, Anna Kendrick, Doug Liman and Laurence Fishburne.
Quibi launches April 6th, 2020.
