Speaking on Tiki and Tierney on Wednesday, Murray said that he misses baseball and
“I miss baseball, for sure…For me, I wish I could do both,” said Murray during his appearance on Tiki and Tierney on Wednesday. “I definitely feel like I could. I never say never.”
Murray played two seasons of college baseball with Oklahoma Sooners. While his first season in 2017 didn’t go according to plan, he bounced back the year after with an impressive showing. Despite playing just 51 games in 2018, he batted .296 while delivering 10 home runs, 47 RBIs, and 10 stolen bases.
Despite his baseball success, Murray chose football and it’s safe to say that he didn’t make a mistake. The 23-year-old player is currently in the MVP conversation after leading the Cardinals to a surprising 6-3 start of the season.

]]>Two other QBs picked in the top 10 of the 2020 NFL Draft, Cincinnati Bengals’ Joe Burrow and LA Chargers’ Justin Herbert, saw their fair share of NFL action, but Tagovailoa sat on the bench for the previous five weeks. This resulted from the Dolphins’ cautious approach with the Alabama product, as the 22-year-old is coming off hip surgery.
But, with Week 6 game against the Jets being long in the bag, Miami finally decided to give their fans a taste of what’s to come in the future. Tagovailoa entered the contest for Ryan Fitzpatrick just before the 2-minute warning, with Dolphins having a 24-0 lead, and took his first snaps in NFL. He attempted two passes and completed both of them before the clock ran down.
“To just be out there with my teammates, being my first time, and getting the support and love from them, I think that was super awesome,” said Tagovailoa. “And then you have a 16-year vet like Fitz, who has no animosity toward it, as well, who’s just been supportive that entire time. I’m very fortunate to have a mentor like him who is just very encouraging on the field, and then this guy is, like, he’s just very personable off the field, as well.”
Since the season started, Miami’s head coach Brian Flores has been swarmed with questions about why Tua Tagovailoa isn’t getting a shot, especially blowout wins or losses. Flores insisted that the decision was made because of Tagovaila’s health and that there would be no point in throwing the rookie into the fire without a good reason.
But on Sunday night, Flores changed his mind it appears that he didn’t regret the decision.
“I know there was some excitement when he went in. I’m happy for Tua,” said Flores.
Tagovailoa played three years of college football at Alabama, throwing for 7,442 yards and 87 touchdowns in 32 games. After his junior season, he declared for the 2020 NFL Draft where Dolphins selected him with the No.5 overall pick.

]]>Bell will have to wait for five days to join his new teammates due to COVID-19 testing and the NFL’s safety and health protocols. The 28-year-old running back will miss Monday Night Football’s game against Buffalo Bills because of this, with his debut expected to occur in Week 7 against Denver Broncos.
Chiefs confirmed the deal on their official social media.
After missing the entire 2018 NFL season due to a contract dispute with Pittsburgh Steelers, Le’Veon Bell inked a massive four-year, $52.5 million deal to join New York Jets. Despite being expected to carry the Jets’ offense, Bell never managed to make an impact with the organization.
Jets’ head coach Adam Gase was never in favor of signing Bell and never put an effort to utilize the skills of the Michigan State product. Bell is also entitled to his share of the blame, as he was unproductive on the field, totaling just 863 rushing yards in 17 games in New York and averaging disastrous 3.3 yards per carry.
Jets tried to move Bell out of town for some time now but failed to take any takers due to his contract. Eventually, they decided to release him as it was apparent that the relationship between the two parties doesn’t work anymore.
Bell considered several options in the past couple of days, with Miami Dolphins and Buffalo Bills being among the prominent candidates for his signature. However, he jumped on the opportunity to play for the Chiefs, being attracted by their status as a Super Bowl contender.

]]>Sanu signed a one-year deal with the 49ers last month, following his release by New England Patriots in the offseason. He played just 40 snaps in the past three games, catching one pass for nine yards.
San Francisco confirmed the decision on social media, while also announcing the release of tight end Charlie Taumoepeau.
49ers signed Mohammed Sanu after the team’s wide receiver group was hit with multiple injuries, and were expected to give him a meaningful role in their offense. However, the emergence of their young wideouts, including 2020’s first-round pick Brandon Aiyuk and second-year player Dante Pettis, caused Sanu to have a limited impact during his time with the organization.
Despite an unsuccessful spell with San Francisco, Sanu is expected to find a new job in NFL pretty soon. There are several teams that could use a veteran wideout, such as the Indianapolis Colts and Green Bay Packers, and Sanu is arguably the best option available. Not counting Antonio Brown, of course.

]]>So, how is this possible?
Well, for starters, the Cowboys’ defense hasn’t been carrying their part of the load, allowing 32 points on the average per contest. Secondly, Prescott hasn’t been taking care of the football, having turned the ball over four times in the first three weeks of the 2020 season.
Prescott himself acknowledged this in a recent chat with reporters, saying that he has to be „better with the ball“ moving forward.
“I have to be better with the ball,” said Prescott. “Receivers have to help me as well, whether it’s route discipline or … spacing or whatever it is.”
Still, Prescott doesn’t intend to slow down himself or his offense to clean up the turnover issues. Instead, he hopes the Cowboys will continue to play fast and up-tempo football.
“We want to play fast,” he added. “We want to play with tempo regardless if we’re up by a few (TDs) or the game’s tied or we’re down. It just gives us more opportunities on offense, more opportunities to create big plays, and score more points. I’d say the tempo is definitely purposeful.”
It’s good to see Dak Prescott wanting to play fast and put scores on the board, but it is hard to see the Cowboys making a meaningful run this season if they keep on getting into shootouts. However, if the Cowboys’ defense gets their act together, and Prescott stops taking risky shots, while they continue scoring at will, Dallas could emerge as an opponent no team wants to face in 2020.

]]>Kearse last played with Detroit Lions in 2019, making an appearance in the preseason opener. He broke his leg in that game and spent the regular season on the injured reserve.
“After eight years playing in the NFL, I’m leaving the game feeling extremely grateful and content with what I was able to accomplish out there on the field not only for myself but my family as well,” Kearse wrote on Instagram.
Jermaine Kearse entered the league as an undrafted free agent in 2012, signing with Seattle Seahawks. Kearse spent five years in Seattle, during which he was the team’s starting wideout for most of the time while helping the franchise to a Super Bowl XLVIII win.
Kearse left Seattle in 2017, being traded to New York Jets as part of the deal that brought Seahawks defensive tackle Sheldon Richardson. He played 30 games for the Jets in the span of two years before leaving the franchise in free agency.
Overall, Kearse played 99 games in the league (74 starts) and has 255 receptions for 3,290 yards and 17 touchdowns to show for.

]]>During a video call with reporters earlier this week, Brees rejected the notion that the aging contributed to his poor performance against the Raiders.
“I feel good, I feel good,” said Brees. “Borderline great.
While Brees finished the game with 312 yards and one touchdown, he also threw a crucial and game-altering interception. Also, a good portion of the passing yards he had came after the catch, causing him to average less than 5.5 air-yards-per-attempt.
But Brees says that he isn’t paying attention to the statistics.
“At the end of the day, I am focused on putting us in a position to succeed, making great decisions, both in the run game or pass game, whatever is predicated on my ability to get us in the best play. And our ability to take care of the football and go and score points put us in the best position to win,” he added.
Drew Brees faced the same comments towards the end of the last year when he underperformed in the final weeks of the 2019 season and then had a poor playoff showing. Despite entering the NFC Wild Card game against the Minnesota Vikings as favorites, the Saints suffered a 26-20 loss with Brees throwing for 208 yards, one TD, and one interception.
While it is still early to write off Brees as “done” after just two weeks, the truth is that he hasn’t looked his usual self while on the field in 2020. The next few games will show whether that was just an outlier or the Saints need to start worrying.

“I’ll be surprised if Jimmy gets back later in the week,” said Shanahan. “I know he’s still pulling to do it.”
Mullens stepped in for Garoppolo in the second half, completing eight passes for 71 yards. He also threw an interception.
“But Nick is ready to go,” Shanahan added. “Nick has got a lot of playing time with us, and 2018 prepared him for moments like this. He always does a good job in practice, and [we’re] excited to see him get his opportunity.”
Shanahan was referring to the 2018 NFL season when Garoppolo tore his ACL, and Nick Mullens stepped in to start the final eight games of the season. 49ers went 3-5 with Mullens under center, while the Southern Miss product completed 64.2 percent of his passes while throwing for 2,277 yards, 13 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions.

]]>Still, it appears that Bucs’ head coach Bruce Arians isn’t ready to make a big deal out of Gronkowski’s struggles.
“Not really,” Arians told reporters on Monday when asked whether he’s surprised by Gronk’s poor production. “He got a nice pass interference call for us [and we] missed him on the over route. We’re not throwing the ball 50 times to tight ends—that’s what we have receivers for [and] that’s the way our offense is built.”
According to Arians, Gronkowski contributes in other aspects of the game, which makes him less worried about the 31-year-old tight end.
“Gronk’s playing great run blocking in the fourth quarter, so I’m not concerned with his pass catches or his targets,” he added.
While Rob Gronkowski has always been known as a good blocker, that’s hardly the reason why Tampa Bay decided to give him $9.25 million to play for them this year. Buccaneers were hoping that Gronkowski and quarterback Tom Brady can replicate the connection from their time together with New England Patriots and produce yards when the offense stalls. And while that wasn’t the case so far, the fact is that Gronk still has some retirement rust on him and should start producing as the season progresses.
Gronkowski spent the first nine years of his career with the Patriots, winning three Super Bowls with the franchise before deciding to retire following the 2018 season. He has 523 career receptions for 7,872 yards and 79 touchdowns.
