One of the big criticisms she has received following her support of the victims of the Grenfell Tower tragedy is that her outspoken involvement is rendered disingenuous by her privilege. The singer refused to hold back on her opinions and publicly accused the government of withholding the real number of fatalities.
Allen responded to this ‘privileged’ label: “Well, I’m a million pounds in debt, so put that in! But you know, there’s a reason that’s what they picked on [with Grenfell].”
