]]>This announcement comes shortly after Wonder Woman 1984 made $85 million worldwide since its release on December 25th. Patty Jenkins will be in charge of directing the threequel, with Gal Gadot returning to the lead role.
Toby Emmerich, chairman of Warner Bros. Pictures Group, credited the strong opening weekend performance of Wonder Woman 1984 as the driving force behind the early plans for the third movie. “We are excited to be able to continue her story with our real-life Wonder Women—Gal and Patty—who will return to conclude the long-planned theatrical trilogy,” stated Emmerich.
Wonder Woman 1984 simultaneously premiered in theaters and on HBO Max, where it also had an impressive showing. According to WarnerMedia reports, nearly half of the subscribers of this streaming platform viewed the film on the day of its arrival, in addition to millions of viewers tuning in via cable, wireless, or other partner services.

]]>Actress Gal Gadot and helmer Patty Jenkins are teaming up again for Cleopatra. The talented duo has worked together before on the Jenkins directed Wonder Woman and the upcoming Wonder Woman 1984.
Gadot confimred that she has been cast to play titular character via Twitter.
“As you might have heard I teamed up with PattyJenks and LKalogridis to bring the story of Cleopatra, Queen of Egypt, to the big screen in a way she’s never been seen before. To tell her story for the first time through women’s eyes, both behind and in front of the camera.”
Cleopatra is set at Paramount Pictures. Laeta Kalogridis is set to write the screenplay.
Wonder Woman 1984 is expected to be released in theaters on Christmas Day.

It’s now expected to premiere on December 25th, and the director Patty Jenkins said it’s important for her to bring this movie to the big screen when we can all experience it together.
Warner Bros’ chairman Toby Emmerich echoed her statement and described Wonder Woman 1984 as “an incredibly dynamic film that moviegoers of all ages around the world will absolutely love” and added they’re very proud of the final result.
This highly anticipated sequel will show Wonder Woman trying to defeat two new villains—Max Lord (Pedro Pascal) and The Cheetah (Kristen Wiig). In addition, Chris Pine, Robin Wright, and Connie Nielsen will also be reprising their roles from the first film.

]]>Production on the much-anticipated sequel to Wonder Woman has wrapped, according to the film’s titular star.
Gal Gadot reprises her role in Wonder Woman 1984 which, as it sounds like, is set in the decade of leg warmers and color-blocking.
Taking to Instagram, the Israeli actress shared behind-the-scenes photos from filming and paid special tribute to director Patty Jenkins who also returned for round 2 on the Warner Bros. flick.
“I’m so lucky to have the one and only Patty Jenkins, as my director. She always has our backs, she gives us the wings to dare, and everyday she helped us find the most creative version of ourselves… I am so grateful to call her my friend. And to our AMAZINGLY talented cast who made every day enjoyable and fun, thank you!” Gal wrote in the caption.
“Honestly… Words cannot describe this experience… This journey was so demanding and challenging but we all came and did our very best every take, every day, putting our all out there and I’m so proud… Thank you, universe, for this opportunity. I love this character. And thank you to all of you for being the best fans in the world. It was you that made me push myself every day.”

The 28 year old is also expected to produce the film, which is likely to be made by Warner Bros. now that Sony is out of the picture.
It now appears as though the project has found a director who knows all about movies that have a strong feminist message — Patty Jenkins.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Wonder Woman director is the current favorite to helm the film.
The writers include Diablo Cody of Juno, Olivia Milch from Ocean’s 8, Hilary Winston, and Inside Amy Schumer’s Kim Caramele, as well as Amy herself.
We can’t wait to meet Wonder Barbie.
