]]>Rihanna confirmed the pregnancy rumors as soon as she hit the stage in a red Loewe ensemble, which perfectly showed off her baby bump. “B—h Better Have My Money” served as the opener of her 13-minute show, which walked us through her entire catalog through 12 carefully curated songs.
The R&B superstar came up with 39 versions of the setlist and admitted this was the most challenging part of the whole ordeal. She told Apple Music’s Nadeska Alexis that she wanted the halftime show to be a celebration of her catalog and that she struggled to fit her entire career into 13 minutes.
She managed to do a pretty good job, and opted for songs we all know and love, from “Only Girl in the World” and “Rude Boy” to “Umbrella” and “Diamonds”, which she performed at the very end of her halftime show.
Super Bowl LVII returned to State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona on February 12, and the Kansas City Chiefs managed to beat the Philadelphia Eagles to win the trophy.

]]>After rumors about her headlining spot started swirling online on Sunday, the nine-time Grammy winner decided to take control of the narrative. She confirmed her involvement by posting a photo of herself holding an NFL bowl, and the Super Bowl representatives were quick to officially announce she’s their latest halftime show headliner.
Apple Music and the NFL are joining forces with Roc Nation to bring this show to life, and its founder Jay-Z had nothing but words of praise for the new headliner.
“Rihanna is a generational talent, a woman of humble beginnings who has surpassed expectations at every turn. A person born on the small island of Barbados who became one of the most prominent artists ever. Self-made in business and entertainment,” said Jay-Z in a statement.
Rihanna will have big shoes to fill on February 12, 2023, when the Super Bowl LVII returns to State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. She’s succeeding Dr. Dre, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar, who served hip-hop extravaganza at the Super Bowl halftime show last year.

]]>The “Wild Thoughts” singer is scheduled to put out a new album for the first time in three years, but it’s set to be unlike anything we have heard from the songstress before.
The Barbadian revealed in May that her ninth studio album will be a reggae project.
“It’s not gonna be typical of what you know as reggae. But you’re going to feel the elements in all of the tracks,” she told Vogue. “Reggae always feels right to me. It’s in my blood. It doesn’t matter how far or long removed I am from that culture, or my environment that I grew up in; it never leaves. It’s always the same high. Even though I’ve explored other genres of music, it was time to go back to something that I haven’t really homed in on completely for a body of work.”
Rihanna has not yet announced a date for the album, but did say last December that we could expect it in 2019.

]]>It’s been two years since Rihanna released ANTI and fans have been waiting for an update on what she will be making next. On the Graham Norton Show this week, the pop sensation confirmed that she is recording the follow-up to her 2016 album.
“I am actually in the studio at the moment,” she told Norton. When asked if the album would be out by the end of the year, she replied: “You’ll just have to wait and see.”
Fans are wondering what to expect next from Rihanna after her eighth studio album, ANTI, was considered a flop. A source told Metro that she is hoping to create a new album with more great hits.
“Rihanna wasn’t happy with how her last album performed – even though she loved how it turned out, she knows she needs a new project full of smash hits to avoid two back-to-back flops,” they said.
“She’s currently recording two albums – one full of chart-friendly songs, and another made up of moody and experimental tracks – and is considering releasing a double disc if she feels the songs won’t mesh well on the same album.”
