]]>The Philadelphia Eagles secured their second Super Bowl championship, beating the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22 and preventing them from achieving the first-ever Super Bowl three-peat. Their quarterback Jalen Hurts was the star of the night, and he won the Super Bowl MVP title after passing for 221 yards and two touchdowns.
Super Bowl halftime show is always worth the wait, and Kendrick Lamar’s performance lived up to the hype. He performed a mix of recent releases and his biggest hits, brought out several surprise guests, and had the entire stadium singing along while he took shots at Drake with the triumphant rendition of “Not Like Us”.
Super Bowl LIX was one star-studded affair, and everyone from Hollywood’s biggest stars to the president of the United States was in attendance. Taylor Swift’s appearance stirred a lot of commotion, especially after she was booed by a heavily pro-Eagles crowd while supporting her boyfriend Travis Kelce, the Chiefs’ tight end.

]]>The post 2025 Grammy Awards: Beyoncé is in the Running for 11 Awards appeared first on thestarsworldwide.com.
]]>Despite being the most decorated artist in the Grammys’ history, Beyoncé never lifted the trophy for album of the year. She previously received nominations in this category for I Am… Sasha Fierce, Beyoncé, Lemonade, and Renaissance, and she’ll get another chance to win it with Cowboy Carter.
Taylor Swift is also in the running for album of the year with The Tortured Poets Department, along with André 3000 with New Blue Sun, Sabrina Carpenter with Short n’ Sweet, Charli XCX with Brat, Jacob Collier with Djesse Vol. 4, Billie Eilish with Hit Me Hard and Soft, and Chappell Roan with The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess.
Beyoncé’s hit single “Texas Hold ‘Em” is nominated for song and record of the year, but she’ll have to beat tough competition to take these awards home. Billie Eilish’s “Birds of a Feather”, Taylor Swift’s “Fortnight” ft. Post Malone, Chappell Roan’s “Good Luck Babe”, and Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” have also been nominated in both categories.
The 2025 Grammy Awards will take place on February 2, 2025, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

]]>The post 2024 MTV VMAs: Taylor Swift Dominates With Seven Wins appeared first on thestarsworldwide.com.
]]>“Fortnight” defeated Ariana Grande’s “We Can’t Be Friends (Wait for Your Love)”, Billie Eilish’s “Lunch”, Doja Cat’s “Paint the Town Red”, Eminem’s “Houdini”, and SZA’s “Snooze” to win video of the year, and this wasn’t a first for Swift.
She holds the record for most wins in this category with five, having previously won with “Bad Blood” (2015), “You Need to Calm Down” (2019), “All Too Well” (2022), and “Anti-Hero” (2023).
In addition to being named the video of the year, “Fortnight” led the way in four more categories – best collaboration, song of the summer, best editing, and best direction. Swift won two more Moon Person trophies on her own, including artist of the year and best pop.
Despite dominating this year’s MTV VMAs, the award for song of the year slipped through Swift’s fingers and went to Sabrina Carpenter. She won big with her smash hit “Espresso”, which also defeated Beyoncé’s “Texas Hold ‘Em”, Jack Harlow’s “Lovin on Me”, Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us”, and Teddy Swims’ “Lose Control”.
The 2024 MTV VMAs took place on September 11 at the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York, with Megan Thee Stallion serving as a host.

]]>The post Taylor Swift Drops Music Video for “I Can Do It With A Broken Heart” appeared first on thestarsworldwide.com.
]]>“I Can Do It With A Broken Heart” tackles the personal hardships Swift had to face during The Eras Tour, so it was only fitting to use it as a setting for her latest music video. The opening beats of the video show the time-lapse of a stadium before the concert, and we’re later taken behind the scenes to see Swift prepare for the show before hitting the stage and wowing fans from all around the world with her performance.
“I Can Do It With A Broken Heart” follows “Fortnight” ft. Post Malone as the second single from Swift’s latest album The Tortured Poets Department. This record recently clocked in its 15th week atop the Billboard 200 chart, and it previously helped Swift monopolize the first 14 positions of the Billboard Hot 100.
The Eras Tour made history as the highest-grossing tour of all time with over $1 billion in revenue, and Swift will embark on the second North American leg of the tour this fall.

]]>The post Eminem Hits No. 1 With “The Death of Slim Shady”, Dethroning Taylor Swift appeared first on thestarsworldwide.com.
]]>The Death of Slim Shady soared to the top with 281,000 units, the most for any rap album released this year. SEA units compromise 164,500 (equaling 220.08 million on-demand official streams), album sales comprise 114,000 (all from digital downloads), while TEA units compromise 2,500.
Eminem is the first artist to hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart since Taylor Swift released The Tortured Poets Department back in April. It spent 12 consecutive weeks atop the chart before slipping to No. 4 behind The Death of Slim Shady, ENHYPEN’s Romance: Untold, and Zach Bryan’s The Great American Bar Scene.
Following the success of The Death of Slim Shady, Eminem has 11 chart-topping albums under his belt, tying Bruce Springsteen, Barbra Streisand, and Kanye West, the fifth-most behind The Beatles, Jay-Z, Taylor Swift, and Drake.
The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce) hit the shelves on July 12, and it produced singles “Houdini”, “Tobey” ft. BabyTron and Big Sean, and “Somebody Save Me” ft. Jelly Roll.

]]>The post Taylor Swift Makes History as “Tortured Poets” Spends Tenth Week at No. 1 appeared first on thestarsworldwide.com.
]]>With 115,000 equivalent album units earned during its latest week on the chart, Tortured Poets easily returned to No. 1. The lack of competition played a part in its continued chart domination, and Gracie Abrams’ The Secret of Us is the only new album to come even close to de-crowning it this week, with 89,000 equivalent album units earned.
Tortured Poets follows in the footsteps of 1989 and Fearless as Swift’s third album to spend at least ten weeks atop the Billboard 200 chart. She’s the first artist this century to achieve this feat and only the fifth to ever do so, joining Whitney Houston, The Beatles, Elvis Presley, and The Kingston Trio.
The Tortured Poets Department originally came out on April 19, along with the second volume of songs known as The Anthology. Swift went on to release several variants featuring limited-edition bonus tracks in the weeks to come, which contributed to the album’s continued chart domination.

]]>The post Taylor Swift Makes Billboard History With “The Tortured Poets Department” appeared first on thestarsworldwide.com.
]]>With 2.61 million album-equivalent units during its debut week, Tortured Poets scored the second-largest week for any album on the Billboard 200 chart, behind Adele’s 25. It sold a staggering 859,000 vinyl copies alone, and also scored the largest streaming week in the chart’s history, with 891.37 million official streams across 31 songs.
Tortured Poets is Swift’s 14th album to hit No. 1 in the US, helping her tie Jay-Z’s record for the most chart-topping albums among soloists. It also scored the biggest sales week for any vinyl album in the modern era, the largest sales week of Swift’s career, and third-largest on the Billboard 200 chart overall.
Tortured Poets did just as great on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, where 14 of its songs claimed the top spots for the first time in history. By doing so, they brought Swift’s total of the top ten hits to 59, making her the first female artist to cross the 50-songs mark. Its lead single “Fortnight” ft. Post Malone debuted atop the chart, helping Swift tie Ariana Grande’s record for most No. 1 debuts among women.

]]>The post 5 Songs From Taylor Swift’s “Tortured Poets” That Got Everyone Talking appeared first on thestarsworldwide.com.
]]>Released as the lead single from Tortured Poets, “Fortnight” sees Swift joining forces with Post Malone. It perfectly illustrates the album’s themes and serves as the string connecting the rest of the album.
Songs on Swift’s latest album walk a fun line between vulnerable and vengeful, and “So Long, London” is definitely one of its most personal songs—and also the very best.
Fans believe that many of the songs on Swift’s latest album are inspired by her brief relationship with Matty Healy, and she’s given us many Easter eggs on “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived”.
In addition to seeing her explore another doomed romance, “But Daddy I Love Him” also sees Swift getting brutally honest about the parasocial relationship the public has with her, with the scathing line “God save the most judgmental creeps /Who say they want what’s best for me.”
At its core, Tortured Poets is a vindictive breakup album, but it also features a few songs that are just there for fun, and the Florence Welch collaboration “Florida!!!” is a case in point.

]]>The post 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards: Taylor Swift & SZA Lead the Way appeared first on thestarsworldwide.com.
]]>Swift was going head-to-head with SZA, Drake, Miley Cyrus, Shakira, Olivia Rodrigo, Jelly Roll, Luke Combs, Usher, and Morgan Wallen for one of the ceremony’s main awards – artist of the year – but managed to beat them all to win this prize.
She also came out victorious in five more categories—the pop artist of the year, best lyrics for “Is It Over Now?”, TikTok Bop of the Year for “Cruel Summer”, tour of the year, and favorite tour style for The Eras Tour.
SZA also had a reason to celebrate on Monday night, after taking four awards home. Her smash hit “Kill Bill” was named the song of the year, beating the likes of Miley Cyrus’ “Flowers” and Olivia Rodrigo’s “Vampire”. SZA also dominated the R&B categories, winning awards for the R&B artist of the year, R&B album of the year with SOS, and R&B song of the year with “Snooze”.
The 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards were held on April 1 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on April 1, with Ludacris hosting Fox’s live ceremony.

]]>The post Super Bowl LIX: 3 Epic Moments That Stole the Show appeared first on thestarsworldwide.com.
