This year’s Super Bowl was unlike any other—primarily because it was played with cardboard cutouts in the crowd, while the audience was advised to practice social distancing at home. That didn’t stop the year’s biggest sporting event from giving us a couple of pretty epic moments, and everyone seems to be talking about these three.

The Weeknd’s Halftime Show

The Super Bowl may be a sporting event, but the halftime show is usually the most talked about part of the entire evening. This year was no different, and The Weeknd’s performance inspired more Twitter reactions and memes than any other moment.

Celebrity Ads

Major companies and movie studios pour insane amounts of money into Super Bowl ads, so it’s important for them to make an impression. This year has given us several amazing ads, and Cadillac’s Edward Scissorhands-inspired commercial starring Winona Ryder and Timothée Chalamet created more buzz than any other.

Tom Brady’s Triumph

At the end of the day, Super Bowl fans are there for the football, and this year’s game was pretty historic. Tom Brady led the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to a pretty unsurprising victory against the Kansas City Chiefs, winning his seventh Super Bowl title.

Timothee Chamalet is already in talks for his next role.

It looks like the Little Women actor is set to have a very big year, with a couple of projects already set and another one in negotiations.

Multiple outlets report that Chamalet is in talks to portray Bob Dylan in a new film from Fox Searchligh and Ford v Ferrari helmer James Mangold.

The yet-to-be-titled feature about the folk icon is set in 1965 and will follow Dylan “as he made his controversial shift to rock and roll and the electric guitar,” per Entertainment Weekly.

Mangold does have experience making movies about musical icons, with 2016’s Johnny Cash biopic Walk The Line. The film earned Joaquin Phoenix an Oscar nomination and Reese Witherspoon an Oscar win.

Next up, Chalamet is set to star in Denis Villeneuve’s Dune adaptation and the new Wes Anderson film The French Dispatch.

Paris is the city of love.

So it only makes sense that two of cinema’s favorite lovebirds find themselves there.

We were introduced to Elio and Oliver when Call Me By Your Name was adapted into an Academy Award-winning film in 2017.

So adored was the feature, that many have hoped for a sequel — including its stars, Timothée Chalamet and Armie Hammer.

Director Luca Guadagnino has now discussed the possibility of CMBYN 2, which he says may be set in Paris.

“I’m asking myself if in the new chapter of the life of Elio, Oliver, and the Perlman family we should let them pass by Crema or not… but I don’t think so,” the filmmaker told Bad Taste.

“Let’s give a small scoop: the sequel (but I don’t like to call it a sequel, their story is a ‘cycle’) will take place in Paris. And it begins with Elio crying. With this light shining into his eyes… and we wonder: are we still where we left him (in front of the fireplace)? No: he’s crying because he’s watching the ending of one of the best movies of the eighties, Paul Vecchiali’s masterpiece Once More. Absolutely consistent with the character: Elio loves Paul Vecchiali’s cinema… that is melancholic like him.”

Let’s hope that Guadagnino’s vision comes to fruition.
