]]>DC’s superhero film starring Gal Gadot experienced several release date shifts since it was officially announced. It’s now expected to premiere on December 25th, and the director Patty Jenkins said it’s important for her to bring this movie to the big screen when we can all experience it together.
Warner Bros’ chairman Toby Emmerich echoed her statement and described Wonder Woman 1984 as “an incredibly dynamic film that moviegoers of all ages around the world will absolutely love” and added they’re very proud of the final result.
This highly anticipated sequel will show Wonder Woman trying to defeat two new villains—Max Lord (Pedro Pascal) and The Cheetah (Kristen Wiig). In addition, Chris Pine, Robin Wright, and Connie Nielsen will also be reprising their roles from the first film.

]]>Production on the much-anticipated sequel to Wonder Woman has wrapped, according to the film’s titular star.
Gal Gadot reprises her role in Wonder Woman 1984 which, as it sounds like, is set in the decade of leg warmers and color-blocking.
Taking to Instagram, the Israeli actress shared behind-the-scenes photos from filming and paid special tribute to director Patty Jenkins who also returned for round 2 on the Warner Bros. flick.
“I’m so lucky to have the one and only Patty Jenkins, as my director. She always has our backs, she gives us the wings to dare, and everyday she helped us find the most creative version of ourselves… I am so grateful to call her my friend. And to our AMAZINGLY talented cast who made every day enjoyable and fun, thank you!” Gal wrote in the caption.
“Honestly… Words cannot describe this experience… This journey was so demanding and challenging but we all came and did our very best every take, every day, putting our all out there and I’m so proud… Thank you, universe, for this opportunity. I love this character. And thank you to all of you for being the best fans in the world. It was you that made me push myself every day.”
