Many were shocked by Offred’s decision in the final few moments of the cliffhanger and have been down to their last fingernail as they await season 3.
Hulu has now allowed us a peak at what that will entail courtesy of the first teaser trailer for the upcoming season.
Beginning optimistically, a voiceover can be heard telling Americans that more women will be going to work that day than ever before.
The images, however, juxtapose the female empowerment, as it shows the women of Gilead headed off to The Colonies for more slave labor before Offred — played by Emmy Award winner Elizabeth Moss — tells America to wake up.
Season 3 of The Handmaid’s Tale will air later this year.
