Barbra Streisand is shining on Lady Gaga.
If there was one person who the Perfect Illusion wanted the approval of for her latest film role, it was definitely the Academy Award winner.
Barbra starred in the 1976 version of A Star is Born as the young singer who is taken under the wing of an established musician.
That role is portrayed by Gaga in the 2018 adaptation in which she stars alongside Bradley Cooper who also made his directing debut.
“I loved it,” Barbs said of the film. “It’s a good movie, it’s gonna be a hit.”
And what golden piece of advice did the 76-year-old have for her modern-day counterpart?
“I told her to do it live,” she says of the main song. “And she wanted to do it live, so that’s good because that’s the best way to do it.”
A Star is Born hits theatres on October 5th.
