If you grew up watching Nickelodeon during the 90s, Good Burger was probably one of your favorite shows. It’s been 25 years since its release, and Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell finally returned for another ride in the burger mobile in a new teaser for Good Burger 2.
Good Burger 2 will see Ed (Mitchell) welcoming Dex (Thompson) to Good Burger with open arms and giving him his old job back. Dex is down on his luck after another one of his inventions backfires, but he devises a plan to get back on his feet, and puts the future of Good Burger in jeopardy along the way.
Good Burger drew inspiration from the hit sketch from the Nickelodeon series All That when it came out in 1997. The SNL star Kenan Thompson said that its sequel will be completely different, while still hitting close to home.
“We want to make a funny quirky little movie, but everybody’s much much older now. And we’re going to have to get past how different everybody looks because it’s been 25 years. But then, if we’re able to enjoy the story along with that, hopefully, we’ll have balance,” he told Today.
In addition to Mitchell and Thompson, Good Burger 2 will also star Josh Server, Lori Beth Denberg, Alex R. Hibbert, Jillian Bell, Lil Rel Howery, and Carmen Electra. It will premiere on Paramount+ this November, but its release date is yet to be confirmed.
