But, the 37-year-old has sent a reminder to her fans that she is still, in fact, around — but just taking some time out.

Posting photographs from shows, Britney wrote on Instagram, “I hope y’all haven’t forgotten about me!!! I’m taking this transition in my life to focus on what I really want … I’ve been working nonstop, well, since I was 8 years old in the business. Sometimes it’s good to stop and reflect !!!! Miss you all … I really do have the best fans in the world !!! #fbf”

Britney was scheduled to perform her second residency show in Las Vegas, Britney: Domination, in February of this year, but canceled due to her father’s ill health. She simultaneously stated that she would be going on an indefinite work hiatus to spend time with her family and also underwent treatment for her own health at a mental wellness facility.

We hope she is back in the spotlight soon!

The mother-of-two decided to take her mental health in her own hands and bravely seek help by checking in to a mental health facility.

Unfortunately, that meant she became the subject of some unfavorable rumors.

But Brit is now setting the record straight via Instagram.

The 37-year-old released a video in which she stressed that all is well and that she’ll be back soon.

Britney also asked for some time, saying, “What I need right now is a little bit of privacy to deal with all the hard things that life is throwing my way. If you could do that, I would be forever grateful.”

The “Make Me…” singer has been calling the city of sin home for four years, while she performed 248 shows as part of her Britney: Piece of Me residency at the Zappos Theaterat the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.

The show was so popular that it twice won the Best of Las Vegas award.

In October, the 37 year old announced that she would be returning to the strip in 2019 with her Domination residency at the Park Theatre at the Park MGM Casino & Resort.

However, plans have now changed as Britney explained in a post to her fans on social media, complete with a photo of a much younger version of her in an adorable pink costume.

The singer confirmed that she would be taking an indefinite break due to her father’s ailing health.

“It’s important to always put your family first… and that’s the decision I had to make. A couple of months ago, my father was hospitalized and almost died. We’re all so grateful that he came out of it alive, but he still has a long road ahead of him. I had to make the difficult decision to put my full focus and energy on my family at this time. I hope you all can understand,” she wrote in the Instagram post which announced that the show will not go on.
