Lady Gaga described Bruno Mars as a talent “beyond explanation”, and said they’ve stayed up all night finishing up this song after discussing their potential collaboration for a while.
“I was finishing up my own album in Malibu, and one night after a long day he asked me to come to his studio to hear something he was working on. It was around midnight when I got there, and I was blown away when I heard what he had started making,” Gaga said in a statement.
She’s currently gearing up for the release of her seventh studio album, but “Die with a Smile” has reportedly been released as a stand-alone single and not one of the songs from her next album. As for Mars, this marks his first song as a solo artist in years since he’s mostly been focusing on his work with Silk Sonic.

Bruno Mars had to step off the stage as the stagehands rushed to assess the situation. Videos later posted on the internet show them in action, trying to smother the flames. Luckily, the break didn’t continue indefinitely.
The stage crew was able to extinguish the fire within 10 minutes, allowing him to get back on stage. Fans quickly posted their relief over his quick return on social media, minutes after they’d expressed frustration over what was happening.
On return, the Grammy winner charmed the audience with an impromptu rendition of “We burned the stage down in Glasgow” before blowing up the audience again with a slew of his other hits, including “Uptown Funk”, “Grenade” and “24K Magic.”
The Bruno Mars UK tour is expected to continue with an appearance at the British Summer Time Festival and further dates in Dublin.
