]]>Fans of Frozen have been waiting 5 long years for the sequel to the Disney, hit which is inspired by the Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale “The Snow Queen.”
And now with almost a year to go, Disney has stepped through the door left open by some scheduling changes and will be releasing the film a week earlier than expected.
Frozen 2 was originally set to open on November 27th, 2019, but will now hit theaters on November 22nd, 2019.
Idina Menzel and Kristen Bell will once again be lending their voices to sisters Elsa and Anna, alongside Josh Gad’s Olaf, while This Is Us star Sterling K. Brown and Evan Rachel Wood of Westworld are believed to have also joined the cast.
The original Frozen earned $1.3 billion and 2 Academy Awards, including Best Original Song for “Let It Go,” so there is no doubt that the sequel will be worth melting for!

]]>Menzel is very much known for her roles in Wicked, Rent, and of course Disney’s Frozen. Oddly enough, her dynamite hair experiment occurred not too long after an announcement that a sequel to the film would be coming in 2019. She was also recently married to actor and singer Aaron Lorh in 2017.
Menzel has not explicitly stated that there was a connection between her sudden hair transition and the character she voices, but if that were the case, it would definitely show an immense degree of dedication to her role. Taking into account the enormous following this soon-to-be franchise has garnered over the years, both inside the Disney community and around the world, there’s no telling what kind of bombs she may drop next.
