]]>Abbott leads the cast of Wolf Man in the role of Blake, a man from San Francisco who inherits his remote childhood home in rural Oregon after his father is presumed dead, and decides to visit it with his wife and young daughter.
“As the family approaches the farmhouse in the dead of night, they’re attacked by an unseen animal and, in a desperate escape, barricade themselves inside the home as the creature prowls the perimeter. As the night stretches on, however, Blake begins to behave strangely, transforming into something unrecognizable,” reads the film’s official synopsis.
In addition to Abbot as Blake, Wolf Man will star Emmy winner Julia Garner as his wife Charlotte and Matilda Firth as their daughter Ginger, plus Sam Jaeger (The Handmaid’s Tale), Ben Prendergast (The Sojourn Audio Drama) and Benedict Hardie (The Invisible Man) in supporting roles.
Wolf Man will be released by Universal Pictures on January 17, 2025.

]]>The Silver Surfer was the main villain in Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, when it was portrayed by Doug Jones and voiced by Laurence Fishburne. This was a completely different version of the famous Marvel villain, and Garner’s character Shalla-Bal was portrayed as his lover and the empress of Zenn-La in the comics.
Garner will be in pretty good company on the set of this Marvel movie, which hails from director Matt Shakman. Its cast will also include Pedro Pascal (The Last of Us) as Reed Richards aka Mr. Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby (The Crown) as Sue Storm aka the Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn (Stranger Things) as Johnny Storm aka the Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (The Bear) as Ben Grimm aka the Thing.
Garner is best known as the star of the Netflix crime drama Ozark, which earned her three Primetime Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe. She most recently starred in the Netflix limited series Inventing Anna and the psychological thriller The Royal Hotel, and will next be seen in the supernatural horror film Wolf Man.
