]]>Netflix is yet to confirm the casting of Isaac and Mulligan, but Deadline reports they’re in negotiations to star in this project. Season 2 will reportedly center on two feuding couples, and Charles Melton, Cailee Spaeny, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Anne Hathaway were previously circling the second season before the most recent casting news hit the fan.
Isaac and Mulligan would be the perfect duo to lead Season 2 because they have an already established dynamic. They previously co-starred in Joel and Ethan Coen’s critically acclaimed musical dramedy Inside Llewyn Davis, which gave Isaac his big break.
Beef creator Lee Sung Jin repeatedly said he’s open to bringing Beef back for another season and telling a “fulfilling, boundary-pushing, and truthful” story with a new cast.
“It’s too early to say where things will head. I’m just trying to remain as open as possible and am mentally ready to tap into whatever lane I need to, because unfortunately there are beefs everywhere you look, and definitely not a shortage of material to pull from,” he told Deadline.

]]>Stewart and Isaac will play a wealthy couple Raoul and Alex, who are seduced into a glamorous, surrealistic world of hedonism, thrills, and violence in the ’80s Los Angeles after meeting the mysterious and enigmatic Nameless and her hard-partying cabal.
Oscar winner Adam McKay is coming on board as one of the producers, and he described this project as wildly commercial and wildly artful.
“This director, this writer, these incredible actors, vampires, choice 80’s punk, style and attitude for miles… that’s the film we’re bringing you today… Our ambitions are to make a movie that ripples through popular culture, fashion, music, and film,” said McKay in a statement.
Cosmatos (Mandy) is directing this project from a script by Andrew Kevin Walker (Se7en), based on a story they wrote together. In addition to McKay, the list of producers also includes Betsy Koch, Gena Konstantinakos, and Isaac via Mad Gene Media.
Stewart is fresh off starring in Love Lies Bleeding, and Flesh of the Gods will mark her return to the vampire genre that put her on the map. Isaac most recently appeared in the Disney+ series Moon Knight, and will next be seen in Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein.
