]]>This music video was directed by Jay Martin, who previously collaborated with Mendes on “Stitches” and “In My Blood”.
The Canadian hitmaker told his fans that the video is beautiful before officially sharing it with the world, but admitted that he had trouble filming it. “The video was extremely cold to film. We were in the city of Toronto and it was nighttime and it was freezing. There was lots of fake snow going in my mouth. But other than that, it was pretty nice,” recalled Mendes on social media.
“It’ll Be Okay” was first released in early December, only two weeks after the singer’s public split with Camila Cabello. The music video isn’t extremely plot-driven, but it perfectly reflects his chilling emotional state, as he wanders through Toronto, with the city’s skyline and glistening snow as his backdrop.
“It’ll Be Okay” marks a major tonal shift from Mendes’ previous single, “Summer of Love” featuring Tainy. It’s still unclear if they’ll be included on his next album, the follow-up to 2020’s Wonder.

]]>Many a fan of Shawn Mendes and Hailey Baldwin were left curious as to what exactly was the nature of the pair’s relationship back in the day.
The two spent a lot of time together and accompanied one another to the 2018 Met Gala, where they walked the red carpet, seemingly as a couple, though the consistently claimed to be “just friends.”
Then came Hailey deleting pics of herself and the “In My Blood” singer on Instagram, the beginning of her relationship with Justin Bieber, their engagement, and now marriage.
Even though months have passed, fans remained curious… including us.
Thankfully though, Shawn has let us out of our misery!
“I don’t even wanna put a title on it. I think it was more of a zone of limbo,” the 21 year old has now told Rolling Stone. “I think I’m an idiot to not, you know… But you can’t control your heart.”
We hope it didn’t need stitches.

]]>As the world gets ready to rock ahead of the Freddie Mercury biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, several of Queen’s classics are being covered by famous names of today.
Including the “In My Blood” singer and the “Love and Run” songstress.
The two had previously worked together as Teddy co-wrote Shawn’s debut hit, “Stitches,” but this marks the first time they have been recorded together singing.
“I am so honored to be able to support the amazing legacy of Freddie and Queen by doing a cover of one of my favorite songs. It was so exciting to me to be able to do this with my close collaborator and one of my best friends, Teddy Geiger, for a cause that is very close to our hearts,” Shawn said.
All net profit from the sales of the “Under Pressure” cover will be donated to the Mercury Phoenix Trust which helps the worldwide fight against HIV/AIDS.
Don’t stop them now!
