Not getting enough Jack Black in your life?

You’re in luck.

The star of The House With a Clock in its Walls is making himself more accessible to his fans with the launch of a YouTube channel.

Entitled Jablinski Games, the channel plans to focus on games, food, and life, and release a video every Friday.

The first video already has over 1.2 million views and has reached No. 10 on YouTube’s trending list.

The channel is a collaborative effort between the actor and his son, with the 49 year old saying in the comments, “I just want to clarify that there is no production behind this. This is all my son. He’s holding me hostage and I can’t be Tracer. Help…”

Friday can’t come soon enough!

Generation Z may not be familiar with records — or even CDs in some cases — but they are familiar with the music of the 20th century.

And thanks to modern technology, they can now enjoy those songs through streaming.

Universal Music Group has scoured streaming platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, and YouTube to determine the most-streamed song of the 20th century.

Despite record companies claiming that it was too long and would never sell due to its bizarre lyrics and operatic arrangement, Queen can feel vindicated that its classic, “Bohemian Rhapsody,” has been named the most-streamed song from the 20th century.

The 6-minute track written by Freddie Mercury in 1975 may have received a boost with audiences thanks to the 2018 film of the same name.

The song surpassed 1.6 billion streams globally, across all major streaming services, overtaking “Smells Like Teen Spirit” by Nirvana.

“So the river of rock music has metamorphosed into streams! Very happy that our music is still flowing to the max!” exclaimed Queen guitarist Brian May.

Any way the wind blows…

We’re living in a golden age of television where streaming services such as Netflix and Hulu have no trouble enlisting the help of the biggest names in Hollywood. YouTube is following in their footsteps. They recently picked up promising dark comedy series produced by George Clooney, with Kirsten Dunst in the lead.

YouTube Premium has ordered 10 episodes of dark comedy On Becoming a God in Central Florida. That name is quite a mouthful, but we have a hunch everyone will be talking about it next year.  After her amazing appearance on Fargo in 2015, it will be exciting to see what Kirsten Dunst brings to the table this time around and the material seems promising.

The upcoming TV show will take place in Orlando during the early ‘90s. It will focus on a minimum-wage-earning water park employee Krystal Gill. She’s described as “a dirt-poor, very fierce young woman who is relentless in her pursuit of the American dream.” American dream in her case means being wrapped up in a multi-billion dollar pyramid scheme and losing everything in the process.

On Becoming a God in Central Florida was originally in development at AMC, but YouTube Premium eventually took the wheel. It was a passion project of the late TV executive Suzanne Patmore Gibbs, who passed away in March. She supported Dunst’s casting and said the actress “was born to slay this role.”
