The film has failed to haul the numbers a Nolan feature would normally gross, which most likely means that Warner Bros. film is set to lose millions during its theatrical run. According to Variety, however, the decision to release Tenet in theaters is part to the studio’s strategy, believing that it will in fact make more money by launching in theaters than it would have if it had debuted on HBO Max.
