The 38-year-old actress announced on Instagram that she is expecting a little girl with boyfriend, Danny Fujikawa, 31.

Hudson and Fujikawa shared their excitement with the world in a video revealing the gender of their baby with her two sons, Ryder Russell, 14, and Bingham Hawn, 6, as they all popped balloons surprising them with pink confetti.

In the post, Hudson shared that she has been absent from social media due to a tough first trimester in which even a Boomerang or picture of food would make her sick. Despite the sickness, Hudson, Fujikawa and the entire family are jumping for joy at word of the news that they’ll be bringing a little girl into the picture.

Writer Bryan Woods has alluded to the possibility of a follow-up film, saying the setting of A Quiet Place is “such a fun world” with “so many things you could do.” Not only that, but both Woods and co-writer Scott Beck claim there are still some unused relics from the initial film that could open doors for a potential continuation.

“We even have some of the set pieces already written for it. In a sense, that’s what you have to base it around. You have to figure out, what is the worst possible situation to put your characters in and go from there.”

A Quieter Place?

Surely there’s no dearth of iconically lengthy film franchises in the horror genre starting with Puppet Master and ending with Saw, but at the same time, not every horror flick is sequel-worthy. Regardless, even though Blunt and Krasinski have yet to confirm any official sequel themselves, Woods and Beck have already left fans a trail of breadcrumbs.
