The post 2023 Grammy Awards: Harry Styles & Lizzo Win Top Accolades, Beyoncé Makes History appeared first on thestarsworldwide.com.
]]>This year’s ceremony was quite historic for Beyoncé, who scored a total of nine nominations to tie the all-time record for the most-nominated artist with her husband Jay-Z. She managed to win four awards on Sunday thanks to her new album Renaissance, becoming the most-awarded artist of all time with a total of 32 trophies.
Harry Styles also had a reason to celebrate after he walked away with two major awards thanks to the success of Harry’s House: album of the year and best pop vocal album. As for Lizzo, she defeated tough competition to win the record of the year with “About Damn Time”.
This year’s Grammy’s delivered a few shockers in the Big Four categories—most notably Bonnie Raitt’s unexpected win for the song of the year with “Just Like That”. It was equally surprising to see the jazz singer Samara Joy collect the trophy for the best new artist, beating the likes of Måneskin, Anitta, and Latto.
The 65th Annual Grammy Awards were held on February 5 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, with Trevor Noah returning as a host.

]]>The post Lizzo Teases Her Upcoming Album With Feel-Good Anthem “About Damn Time” appeared first on thestarsworldwide.com.
]]>In the opening frames of the music video for this catchy tune, we see Lizzo attending a support group, but she doesn’t stick around for too long. The pressure of speaking in front of others is too much for her, so she decides to escape and dance her heart out instead.
“About Damn Time” is Lizzo’s first single since the release of “Rumors” with Cardi B last summer, and it’s the song about many things she’s been waiting for too long.
“‘About Damn Time’ can lead into so many conversations. It’s about damn time I feel better, it’s about damn time we get out this pandemic… There’s so many things,” Lizzo told Zane Lowe.
“About That Time” will be featured on her upcoming album Special, scheduled to be released on July 15. Lizzo is yet to share the rest of the tracklist, but it’s also expected to feature the song called “Special”, which she performed during a recent appearance on Saturday Night Live.

The list of major winners at this year’s iHeartRadio Music Awards also included Luke Combs, who conquered country categories, and Post Malone who won a total of three trophies—including male artist of the year. The award for the best group went to Jonas Brothers, while Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello won the best collaboration award with “Señorita”.

]]>The post Lizzo Braves a Haunted House appeared first on thestarsworldwide.com.
]]>This year’s “lucky” victim was rap superstar Lizzo. The “Truth Hurts” singer pulled up her big girl panties and ventured into a haunted house, accompanied by Ellen’s producer Andy.
“We’re gonna rock this bitch,” the singer confidently said upon entering, without any idea what was waiting for her… “I’m 100 percent that scary ass bitch.”
Cue running, creatures jumping out to scare the bejesus out of the pair, and lots and lots of screaming!
Plus, Lizzo almost losing her weave!
“It looks waaaay less scary than it was,” Lizzo wrote on Twitter after the event. “Don’t get it twisted… w/out that light it was a nightmare.”
Sounds like she could have used some juice to recover…

]]>The post Lizzo Totally Nails This Game of Song Association appeared first on thestarsworldwide.com.
]]>The game involves the team at Elle saying a word and our fierce songstress then having to sing a song that features it.
The “Truth Hurts” singer brought out the big guns as she belted out “The Way You Make Me Feel” by Janelle Monáe (complete with the bass), “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” from The Lion King, and Queen’s “You’re My Best Friend.”
The ultimate performance, however, had to be “Wannabe” from the Spice Girls of which Lizzo knew every word and became Mel B’s twin.
“Yes, I’m killing it! Oh my f-Ing God, “Wannabe” by the Spice Girls and we’re in London,” she exclaimed.
While singing the titular track from “Dreamgirls,” the Billboard Hot 100 topper began to choke when reaching the high notes, but took it in her stride by stating that she had grease in her throat from eating chicken earlier.
“Am I the first person to ever win this? Because I’m winking right now!”
Someone get the woman her prize!
