]]>The Canadian rapper took to social media Thursday night to announce a new 14-track mixtape featuring rappers Playboi Carti, Future, Young Thug, Chris Brown as well as Drizzy’s latest No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 hit “Toosie Slide.”
“My brothers @oliverelkhatib @ovonoel put together a lot of the songs people have been asking for (some leaks and some joints from SoundCloud and some new vibes) DARK LANE DEMO TAPES out everywhere at midnight…” he wrote on Instagram.
He also teased that his next studio album will be released this summer, a follow-up to 2018’s Scorpion. “Also my 6th STUDIO ALBUM DROPPING SUMMER 2020!!! Lucky number 6 soon fwd.”

]]>According to multiple outlets, the iconic musician has announced that he’s working on a new archival album that will feature material from the mid-to-late 1980s. The album will include live recordings from a 1986 Crazy Horse tour and unheard 1989 studio work with his Saturday Night Live band
Titled Road of Plenty, the album is eyeing a 2021 release.
News of the archival release joins another project Young is currently working on — Homegrown, an LP shelved in 1975, which he recently decided to bring back to life.
As part of his announcement of Road of Plenty, Young said: “It was my fault that we didn’t get together at the time and have a reunion, tour and album. I don’t even know why. It was my own fault. I should have done it. Apparently I was distracted by other things at the time. Life was moving fast, perhaps a bit too fast for me to see.”
Young has a lot happening this year with Homegrown coming June 19, Return to Greendale on July 17, The Neil Young Archives Volume 2 on August 21, the 1990 Rust Bucket gig on October 16 and the 1971 solo acoustic show Young Shakespeare on November 27.

]]>The “Shake It Off” singer took to social media to announce to her fans that she has officially canceled all of her live appearances for the rest of the year due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.
“I’m so sad I won’t be able to see you guys in concert this year, but I know this is the right decision. Please, please stay healthy and safe. I’ll see you on stage as soon as I can but right now what’s important is committing to this quarantine, for the sake of all of us.”
Performances canceled — part of the singer’s “Lover Fest” tour, include July 25-26 in Inglewood, California, July 31-August 1 in Foxborough, Massachusetts, and July 18-19 in Brazil.
The will be rescheduled to take place in 2021, with dates to be announced later this year.

]]>The Little Monsters got some bad news as Gaga took to social media to announce that she is delaying the release of her upcoming album due to the Coronavirus.
“This is such a hectic and scary time for all of us, and while I believe art is one of the strongest things we have to provide joy and healing to each other during times like this, it just doesn’t feel right to me to release this album with all that is going on during this global pandemic,” she wrote in part.
Gaga’s post also revealed that she had also planned to do a secret set at the Coachella Festival, before that too was postponed to October.
Chromatica was slated to be released on April 10.

]]>News of Kenny Rogers’ passing was confirmed by his family via social media. Per the announcement “Rogers passed away peacefully at home from natural causes under the care of hospice and surrounded by his family.”
Rogers is known for hits such as “The Gambler,” “Lady,” and “Islands in the Stream” as well as collaborations with major stars including Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, and the Bee Gees.
Rogers embarked on a farewell tour in 2015 and kept on performing through December 2017. In April 2018 he announced that he was stepping away from music due to health challenges.
“I didn’t want to take forever to retire,” he said in a statement at the time. “I’ve thoroughly enjoyed this opportunity to say farewell to the fans over the course of the past two years on ‘The Gambler’s Last Deal’ tour. I could never properly thank them for the encouragement and support they’ve given me throughout my career and the happiness I’ve experienced as a result of that.”

]]>The festival will be headlined by Kendrick Lamar, Taylor Swift and Sir Paul McCartney. Also performing are Camila Cabello, Charli XCX, Dua Lipa, Diana Ross, Angel Olsen, FKA Twigs, Glass Animals, Haim, Kacey Musgraves, Lana Del Rey, Thundercat and many many more.
Festival chief Emily Eavis shared the news on social media, writing, “As things stand we are still working hard to deliver our 50th anniversary Festival in June, and we are very proud of the bill we have put together over the last year or so. No one has a crystal ball to see exactly where we will all be 15 weeks from now, but we are keeping our fingers firmly crossed that it will be here at Worthy Farm for the greatest show on Earth!”
The rest of the lineup will be unveiled over the coming weeks, leading up to the full line-up in May.
Despite Coronavirus concerns and cancelations of concerts and festivals worldwide, including Coachella and Stagecoach, Glastonbury is still on as planned and will take place at Worthy Farm in Pilton, Somerset from June 24th to 28th.

]]>The country superstar made the announcement during a surprise appearance at a luncheon hosted by the label group on Friday in Nashville.
“We had such a great run together, and I’m so proud we get to go back after this again,” Big Machine’s founder, president and CEO Scott Borchetta told the 1,000-plus crowd. “The energy has just been amazing. The new music is incredible. My team loves your team. I can’t tell you… I’m so proud to have you back in the family, man.”
“Well, thank you, man,” said McGraw. “Scott and I go back a long way. We go back 25 years in this business. His dad signed me to Curb Records a long time ago, so I have a special place in my heart for the Borchetta family. So it’s good to be back with Scott. I know we’ve got a lot of work to do, and we can do that work.”
During McGraw’s first run with Big Machine, he released three albums: 2013’s Two Lanes of Freedom, 2014’s Sundown Heaven Town, and 2015’s Damn Country Music, with the first two reaching No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart.

]]>Rapper Mac Miller began working on Circles, originally a companion album for Swimming, before his death. Now the posthumous album is coming out thanks to producer Jon Brion, who finished what he and Miller had started.
Miller’s family confirmed the album via the rapper’s social media, writing, “This is a complicated process that has no right answer. No clear path. We simply know that it was important to Malcolm for the world to hear it.”
They continued: “Two different styles complementing each other, completing a circle — Swimming in Circles was the concept.”
According to their statement the new album drops January 17.
