]]>Everything Everywhere managed to beat Babylon, The Banshees of Inisherin, The Fabelmans, and Women Talking to win outstanding performance by a cast in a motion picture, but this trophy was just the icing on the cake.
By the time the cast of Everything Everywhere picked up the night’s biggest award, Michelle Yeoh, Ke Huy Quan, and Jamie Lee Curtis already won trophies for their individual performances. Yeoh and Quan made history as the first Asian actors to win in their respective categories.
The White Lotus was the biggest winner on the TV side with a total of two awards: outstanding performance by an ensemble in a drama series and outstanding performance by a female actor in a drama series (Jennifer Coolidge). The cast of Abbott Elementary also had a reason to celebrate on Sunday night, after winning the award for outstanding performance by an ensemble in a comedy series.
The 29th Screen Actors Guild Awards took place on February 26, and the ceremony was streamed live on Netflix’s YouTube channel, marking the start of the SAG Awards’ partnership with the streamer.

]]>CODA was facing tough competition in the main field, with Belfast, Don’t Look Up, The House of Gucci, and King Richard also in the running. It managed to beat them all, winning the trophy for the outstanding performance by a cast in a motion picture.
It was also a big night for the supporting actor Troy Kotsur, who gave CODA its second win. When it comes to the rest of the winners in the film categories, the list included the best actor Will Smith (King Richard), best actress Jessica Chastain (The Eyes of Tammy Faye), and best-supporting actress Ariana DeBose (West Side Story).
Succession and Ted Lasso came back to dominate the TV field, winning best ensemble awards in their respective categories. Hit Netflix drama Squid Game also had a big night, winning a total of three awards—best actor and actress in a drama (Lee Jung-jae and Jung Ho-Yeon), and best stunt ensemble.
This year’s Screen Actors Guild Awards were held at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica on February 27th.

]]>Aaron Sorkin’s legal drama managed to beat the likes of Da 5 Bloods, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, Minari, and One Night in Miami to pick up the award for the best cast in a motion picture. The Chicago 7 cast member Michael Keaton became the first person with three film ensemble wins, including the SAG trophies for Birdman (2014) and Spotlight (2015).
The Crown dominated the TV categories with two wins, including outstanding performance by an ensemble in a drama series and best female actor in a drama series for Gillian Anderson. Schitt’s Creek was the biggest winner in the comedy field—in addition to winning the award for best cast in a comedy series, Catherine O’Hara was also named as the best female actor in a comedy series.
The 27th Screen Actors Guild Awards took place on April 4th at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.

]]>CODA was facing tough competition in the main field, with Belfast, Don’t Look Up, The House of Gucci, and King Richard also in the running. It managed to beat them all, winning the trophy for the outstanding performance by a cast in a motion picture.
It was also a big night for the supporting actor Troy Kotsur, who gave CODA its second win. When it comes to the rest of the winners in the film categories, the list included the best actor Will Smith (King Richard), best actress Jessica Chastain (The Eyes of Tammy Faye), and best-supporting actress Ariana DeBose (West Side Story).
Succession and Ted Lasso came back to dominate the TV field, winning best ensemble awards in their respective categories. Hit Netflix drama Squid Game also had a big night, winning a total of three awards—best actor and actress in a drama (Lee Jung-jae and Jung Ho-Yeon), and best stunt ensemble.
This year’s Screen Actors Guild Awards were held at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica on February 27th.

]]>Aaron Sorkin’s legal drama managed to beat the likes of Da 5 Bloods, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, Minari, and One Night in Miami to pick up the award for the best cast in a motion picture. The Chicago 7 cast member Michael Keaton became the first person with three film ensemble wins, including the SAG trophies for Birdman (2014) and Spotlight (2015).
The Crown dominated the TV categories with two wins, including outstanding performance by an ensemble in a drama series and best female actor in a drama series for Gillian Anderson. Schitt’s Creek was the biggest winner in the comedy field—in addition to winning the award for best cast in a comedy series, Catherine O’Hara was also named as the best female actor in a comedy series.
The 27th Screen Actors Guild Awards took place on April 4th at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.
