]]>After teasing the release of LG7 with a series of billboards and a countdown clock on her website, Lady Gaga officially announced its release this Monday. She revealed her new album will be titled Mayhem, adding it “started as me facing my fear of returning to the pop music my earliest fans loved.”
Its album cover shows the singer standing behind the shattered mirror, and this image stuck with her because it reminded her that you can “ create something beautiful and whole in its own new way” even if you can’t put the pieces back together perfectly.
Mayhem will be released on March 7 via Streamline and Interscope Records, and it will feature a total of 14 tracks. We already got to hear two of them – the lead single “Disease” and the Bruno Mars collaboration “Die with a Smile”, which became a global hit and spent four weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

]]>Directed by Mars and Daniel Ramos, the visual for this A-list duet sees the duo performing their new single in matching red-and-blue outfits. Mars is playing a guitar while rocking a cowboy hat, while Gaga is smoking a cigarette behind a tiny piano.
Lady Gaga described Bruno Mars as a talent “beyond explanation”, and said they’ve stayed up all night finishing up this song after discussing their potential collaboration for a while.
“I was finishing up my own album in Malibu, and one night after a long day he asked me to come to his studio to hear something he was working on. It was around midnight when I got there, and I was blown away when I heard what he had started making,” Gaga said in a statement.
She’s currently gearing up for the release of her seventh studio album, but “Die with a Smile” has reportedly been released as a stand-alone single and not one of the songs from her next album. As for Mars, this marks his first song as a solo artist in years since he’s mostly been focusing on his work with Silk Sonic.

Gaga Chromatica Ball was filmed during her performance at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, and it premiered on HBO on May 25.
In addition to chronicling the time of immense creativity that Gaga experienced while touring with Chromatica, this concert film also served as a teaser for the singer’s next studio album. She announced its release during the final moments of the film, but she’s been teasing it for quite some time before finally making things official.
She also dropped hints about the follow-up to Chromatica during a Q&A at the Los Angeles premiere of her new HBO concert special. She said her new album is unlike anything she’s ever done before because she loves exploring music and breaking genres.

His life takes an even wilder turn when he meets a fellow asylum inmate Harley Quinn, who turns out to be a perfect partner in crime.
Joker: Folie à Deux has been billed as a musical, and the first trailer gives us a glimpse of several dance numbers we’ll get to see in the film. One of them sees Joker and Harley Quinn dancing to “What the World Needs Now (Is Love Sweet Love)” under the moonlight sky, while wearing elegant outfits featured in the film’s poster.
Joker: Folie à Deux will also star Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Keener, Jacob Lofland, Steve Coogan, Ken Leung, and Harry Lawtey, plus Zazie Beetz reprising her role from the first film. It will hit the theaters on October 4 via Warner Bros. Pictures.

]]>Gaga’s collaboration with Ariana Grande “Rain on Me” has been nominated for best song, best video, and best collaboration awards. She’ll also be competing on her own in best artists, best pop, best US act, and best fan base categories.
The list of major contenders at this year’s MTV EMAs also includes BTS, Roddy Ricch, and Justin Bieber, with five nominations each. Several artists, including Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, Ariana Grande, Karol G, and DaBaby managed to score four nods.
The 2020 MTV EMAs will take place on November 8th, and we’re yet to learn more about the format of the ceremony.

]]>“911” opens with Gaga waking up in the middle of the desert next to a broken bicycle. She notices a figure dressed in black riding a dark horse on the horizon. The mystery person lures her out of the desert and into an epic mission that has to be seen to be believed.
The music video for “911” was directed by Tarsem Singh, and it’s based on an idea he came up with 25 years ago. Lady Gaga described this visual as “the poetry of pain” and thanked the director for sharing his vision with her.
“This short film is very personal to me, my experience with mental health and the way reality and dreams can interconnect to form heroes within us and all around us … Something that was once my real life everyday is now a film, a true story that is now the past and not the present,” wrote Lady Gaga on Instagram.

The reveal of the tracklist follows the singer’s previous announcement that the release of her forthcoming album has been postponed due to the ongoing pandemic crisis. Back then she wrote to her fans, “I will announce a new 2020 release date soon. This is such a hectic and scary time for all of us. And while I believe art is one of the strongest things we have to provide joy and healing to each other during times like this, it just doesn’t feel right for me to release this album with all that going on during this global pandemic.”

“This is such a hectic and scary time for all of us, and while I believe art is one of the strongest things we have to provide joy and healing to each other during times like this, it just doesn’t feel right to me to release this album with all that is going on during this global pandemic,” she wrote in part.
Gaga’s post also revealed that she had also planned to do a secret set at the Coachella Festival, before that too was postponed to October.
Chromatica was slated to be released on April 10.

]]>Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga’s stunning performance at the Oscars made us wish that we could watch A Star Is Born all over again — and it appears we’re not the only ones.
Warner Bros. has decided to release the Academy Award-winning film back into cinemas for a week starting on the 1st of March.
The re-release will also include even more magical moments as it will be 12 minutes longer than the original. The additional scenes will include a brand new never-before-heard song Clover, as well as extended performances of Black Eyes, Alibi, and the parking lot version of Shallow which started it all.
Warner Bros. will be looking to improve on its box office earnings for the film which has already managed to gross $211 million domestically and over $425 million worldwide.
The 2018 version of A Star Is Born earned 8 Oscar nominations, winning Best Original Song for Shallow.

The flower is surrounded by the phrase “La vie en rose.”
The wording is a reference to the Edith Piaf song which Gaga’s character in A Star Is Born, Aly, is performing when she first meets Bradley’s country musician.
“Happy Valentine’s Day. A tattoo toast to “la vie en rose,” she wrote. “My spinal cord is now a rose.”
