The post A-List Cast of Sam Mendes’ Four “The Beatles” Movies Confirmed appeared first on thestarsworldwide.com.
]]>Sam Mendes shared the details about this project during Sony’s CinemaCon presentation and described The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event as the “first bingable theatrical experience.”
“I had been trying to do a film for years, but I finally gave up because the story was too big for one film… There had to be a way to tell the epic story for a new generation … I can assure you there is still plenty left to explore, and I think we found a way to do that,” said Mendes at CinemaCon.
The cast of this cinematic experience will be led by Paul Mescal as Paul McCartney, Joseph Quinn as George Harrison, Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr, and Harris Dickinson as John Lennon. Each member of The Beatles will get his own film, which will give the audience a chance to understand them more deeply.
The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event will be released in April 2028, while the principal photography on the four films will take a full year.

Expectations are running high for its follow-up, but not much is known about it yet, apart from the fact it will be released by Universal Pictures on July 17, 2026.
Matt Damon, who recently starred in Nolan’s Oppenheimer, was the first star attached to this project when it was initially announced. Its star-studded cast is getting bigger by the day, and Damon was closely followed by Tom Holland (Spider-Man), plus Zendaya (Euphoria) and Anne Hathaway (Les Misérables), who joined the cast just last week.
Lupita Nyong’o is the latest A-list star to board this project, and she’s best known as Nakia from Black Panther and Patsey from 12 Years a Slave, for which she won an Academy Award for best supporting actress. She’s fresh off starring in A Quiet Place: Day One and voicing the animated film The Wild Robot.

In addition to Abbot as Blake, Wolf Man will star Emmy winner Julia Garner as his wife Charlotte and Matilda Firth as their daughter Ginger, plus Sam Jaeger (The Handmaid’s Tale), Ben Prendergast (The Sojourn Audio Drama) and Benedict Hardie (The Invisible Man) in supporting roles.

]]>It’s pretty rare to see the Billboard 200 results delayed, but that’s exactly what happened this week, with Carpenter and Scott going neck to neck until the last minute. Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet eventually debuted at No. 1 with 362,000 equivalent album units, just 1,000 units ahead of Scott’s Days Before Rodeo with a little over 361,000 equivalent album units.
Carpenter managed to score the third-largest week for an album in 2024, behind Taylor Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department and Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter. Short n’ Sweet is her first album to hit No. 1 in the U.S., in addition to topping the charts in the UK, Australia, and beyond.
Carpenter also hit No. 2, 3, and 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week with “Taste”, “Espresso”, and “Please Please Please”, joining The Beatles as the only artist to chart her first three top five hits simultaneously. She previously made history as the first female artist to simultaneously score the No. 1 album and single in the UK, where “Taste” hit the top spot this week.

]]>Abbott leads the cast of Wolf Man in the role of Blake, a man from San Francisco who inherits his remote childhood home in rural Oregon after his father is presumed dead, and decides to visit it with his wife and young daughter.
“As the family approaches the farmhouse in the dead of night, they’re attacked by an unseen animal and, in a desperate escape, barricade themselves inside the home as the creature prowls the perimeter. As the night stretches on, however, Blake begins to behave strangely, transforming into something unrecognizable,” reads the film’s official synopsis.
Wolf Man will be released by Universal Pictures on January 17, 2025.

]]>The plot of Nolan’s next project is being kept under wraps, but we already know when it will hit the theaters. It will reportedly be shot in early 2025, and the Oscar-winning director is planning for an Imax release on July 17, 2026, via Universal Pictures.
Expectations are running high for Nolan’s next project, especially after the enormous success of his latest historical drama Oppenheimer. It won seven Academy Awards, including best picture, best director, best actor for Cillian Murphy, and best supporting actor for Robert Downey Jr., in addition to becoming one of Nolan’s most commercially successful films, with $977 million grossed worldwide.
Matt Damon was also a part of the film’s star-studded ensemble cast, which also included Emily Blunt, Florence Pugh, Josh Hartnett, Casey Affleck, Rami Malek, and Kenneth Branagh. He’ll reportedly reunite with Nolan in his next project, but not much is known about his role at the time. His recent credits as an actor include Doug Liman’s The Instigators and John Krasinski’s IF.

]]>Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight is returning as the mastermind behind this film, which will continue the tale of Tommy Shelby and his Birmingham crime gang. He promised it would be another explosive chapter in the Peaky Blinders story with no holds barred, teasing “full-on Peaky Blinders at war.”
This won’t mark the first collaboration between Roth and Murphy. Peaky Blinders movie reunites them over a decade after they led the British coming-of-age drama Broken. Tim Roth is best known as the star of Quentin Tarantino’s Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction, who most recently appeared in TV shows Twin Peaks, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, and Tiny Beautiful Things. He has several new movies on the way, including the thrillers Classified, Tornado, and Killing Faith.

]]>It was pretty clear that this Sunday was going to be an epic night for Shōgun even before the Primetime Emmy Awards rolled around. This series won 14 trophies at the Creative Arts Emmy Award and added four more to its collection at the main event, setting a new record for most wins in a single year with 18. It also became the first non-English series to be named the outstanding drama series.
The Bear made history in the comedy field with a total of 11 awards – the most for a comedy series in a single year. It collected four major awards on Sunday night, but it failed to win the coveted outstanding comedy series award, which went to Hacks this time around.
Netflix’s Baby Reindeer lived up to the hype after coming into the ceremony as one of the front-runners in the limited series field. It won the Emmy for outstanding limited or anthology series, while its stars Richard Gadd and Jessica Gunning were honored with acting awards.
The 2024 Primetime Emmy Awards were held at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on September 15, with Eugene Levy and Dan Levy sharing the hosting duties.
