]]>Deadpool & Wolverine was years in the making, and it will mark the first Deadpool film in the MCU. The first trailer sees Wade Wilson taking many digs at Marvel, while also trying to convince Wolverine to join him on a mission to save the MCU, after being pulled from a peaceful life in his timeline by the Time Variance Authority.
Deadpool & Wolverine will feature many familiar faces – and we’re not just talking about Reynolds and Jackman. Morena Baccarin, Rob Delaney, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni, and Brianna Hildebrand will return as their respective characters from the previous Deadpool movies, while Jennifer Garner will be back as Elektra. Emma Corrin will play the film’s main villain, Cassandra Nova, while Matthew Macfadyen joined the cast as Paradox.
Deadpool & Wolverine is hitting the theatres on July 26, as the latest film in the MCU’s Phase Five. It will be followed by Captain America: Brave New World and Thunderbolts next year.

]]>For All Mankind put a “what if” take on the history of the space race between the United States and the Soviet Union. It’s set in an alternate timeline where the Soviets won the space race after being the first nation to land a man on the Moon, forcing NASA to try and catch up over the course of the next few decades.
For All Mankind will return for its fifth season, but Apple TV+ is also planning to continue telling this story from a different perspective. The new spin-off Star City will center on Soviet cosmonauts, engineers, and intelligence officers, who took huge risks to propel humanity forward.
Matt Wolpert and Ben Nedivi co-wrote the spin-off alongside Ronald D. Moore, and serve as its showrunners. Their fascination with the Soviet space program grew with every season of For All Mankind, and they can’t wait to tell the tale about “the secret city in the forests outside Moscow where the Soviet cosmonauts and engineers worked and lived.”

Nicola Coughlin and Luke Newton will lead the show’s third season, and they’ll be joined by Jonathan Bailey, Simone Ashley, Claudia Jessie, Luke Thompson, Golda Rosheuvel, Adjoa Andoh, Ruth Gemmell, plus newcomers Daniel Francis, Sam Phillips, and James Phoon.
Season 3 of Bridgerton will be divided into two parts, set to debut on Netflix on May 16 and June 13.

Vinyl copies amounted to 62,000 of the pure album sales, helping Beyoncé score the largest vinyl week of her career.
Cowboy Carter also set a new record for the largest streaming week of Beyoncé’s career. This doesn’t come as a shocker since it previously became the most-streamed album in a single day this year on Spotify, with 76 million global streams, the highest number achieved by a Black woman in the platform’s history.
Beyoncé also made history on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart with Cowboy Carter, becoming the first Black woman to top this chart. This is the latest country-related record she broke with this album, after becoming the first Black female artist to top the Hot Country Songs chart with its lead single “Texas Hold ‘Em”.

She also came out victorious in five more categories—the pop artist of the year, best lyrics for “Is It Over Now?”, TikTok Bop of the Year for “Cruel Summer”, tour of the year, and favorite tour style for The Eras Tour.
SZA also had a reason to celebrate on Monday night, after taking four awards home. Her smash hit “Kill Bill” was named the song of the year, beating the likes of Miley Cyrus’ “Flowers” and Olivia Rodrigo’s “Vampire”. SZA also dominated the R&B categories, winning awards for the R&B artist of the year, R&B album of the year with SOS, and R&B song of the year with “Snooze”.
The 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards were held on April 1 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on April 1, with Ludacris hosting Fox’s live ceremony.

]]>The original film was based on Darcey Bell’s book A Simple Favor, which followed the adventures of a small-town vlogger, as she tries to solve the mystery behind her rich friend’s disappearance. The 2018 black comedy was quite a success for Lionsgate, earning $97 million off a $20 million budget, and they’re co-producing the sequel with Amazon MGM Studios.
A Simple Favor 2 will take place in Capri, Italy, and it will see Stephanie Smothers (Kendrick) and Emily Nelson (Lively) dealing with murder and betrayal after Emily’s extravagant wedding to a rich Italian businessman takes a wild turn.
Along with Kendrick and Lively, this sequel will mark the return of several original cast members, including Henry Golding, Andrew Rannells, Bashir Salahuddin, Joshua Satine, Ian Ho, and Kelly McCormack.
Paul Feig will be back in the director’s chair when this sequel kicks off production later this spring. A Simple Favor 2 will be available to stream on Amazon Prime Video, and it remains unclear if it will also get a theatrical release date.

]]>Directed by Fede Álvarez (Don’t Breathe), who co-wrote the script alongside Rodo Sayagues, Alien: Romulus takes us back to the roots of this beloved franchise. The standalone film is set between the events of Alien (1979) and Aliens (1986), and here’s what it has in store:
“While scavenging the deep ends of a derelict space station, a group of young space colonizers come face to face with the most terrifying life form in the universe,” reads 20th Century Studio’s official synopsis.
Alien: Romulus will introduce us to a group of brand-new characters, played by Cailee Spaeny (Priscilla), Isabela Merced (Madame Web), David Jonsson (Rye Lane), Archie Renaux (Shadow and Bone), Spike Fearn (Aftersun), and Aileen Wu.
Álvarez reached out to Ridley Scott and James Cameron while working on this film, and said they were impressed by his approach to the source material.
“Whatever Ridley said, Cameron said something different. They were all super smart comments, notes, and thoughts on the film and the filmmaking, et cetera, but both of them have completely different approaches,” Álvarez told The Hollywood Reporter.
Alien: Romulus is hitting the theaters on August 16, after the 20th Century Studio decided to shift from streaming to theatrical release.

]]>Raye made BRIT Awards history long before the ceremony finally rolled around – she came into the night with seven nods, most nominations scored by a single act in a year. She managed to triumph in six out of seven categories, only leaving the best pop act award to Dua Lipa.
Raye made quite a splash with her long-awaited debut album My 21st Century Blues, which was named the British album of the year. It prevailed against The Ballad of Darren by Blur, Beautiful and Brutal Yard by J Hus, No Thank You by Little Simz, and Heavy Heavy by Young Fathers to win this prize.
Raye was also named the British artist of the year and collected the award for the song of the year with her smash hit “Escapism” ft. 070 Shake. She also won trophies for the best R&B act, best new artist, and songwriter of the year.
Clara Amfo, Maya Jama, and Roman Kemp co-hosted the 2024 BRIT Awards, which took place on March 2 at The O2 Arena in London.

]]>Alcock landed several TV roles in her home country of Australia as a teen, before rising to prominence as the young Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen in HBO’s Game of Thrones spin-off House of the Dragon. She’s been looking for her next big role ever since, and her search finally came to an end when she defeated Emilia Jones and Meg Donnelly to be cast as Supergirl.
James Gunn confirmed her casting on social media and said he’s incredibly excited about her being a part of the DCU. He described her as “a fantastically talented young actor” and added he was blown away by her varied auditions and screen tests for Supergirl.
Alcock is expected to lead her own DCU standalone movie, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, but this project won’t mark her debut as Kara Zor-El. She’s expected to appear in another DC-based project before flying solo, but it’s still unclear if that project will be 2025’s Superman: Legacy, led by David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan.

]]>The original film was based on Darcey Bell’s book A Simple Favor, which followed the adventures of a small-town vlogger, as she tries to solve the mystery behind her rich friend’s disappearance. The 2018 black comedy was quite a success for Lionsgate, earning $97 million off a $20 million budget, and they’re co-producing the sequel with Amazon MGM Studios.
A Simple Favor 2 will take place in Capri, Italy, and it will see Stephanie Smothers (Kendrick) and Emily Nelson (Lively) dealing with murder and betrayal after Emily’s extravagant wedding to a rich Italian businessman takes a wild turn.
Along with Kendrick and Lively, this sequel will mark the return of several original cast members, including Henry Golding, Andrew Rannells, Bashir Salahuddin, Joshua Satine, Ian Ho, and Kelly McCormack.
Paul Feig will be back in the director’s chair when this sequel kicks off production later this spring. A Simple Favor 2 will be available to stream on Amazon Prime Video, and it remains unclear if it will also get a theatrical release date.

]]>Directed by Fede Álvarez (Don’t Breathe), who co-wrote the script alongside Rodo Sayagues, Alien: Romulus takes us back to the roots of this beloved franchise. The standalone film is set between the events of Alien (1979) and Aliens (1986), and here’s what it has in store:
“While scavenging the deep ends of a derelict space station, a group of young space colonizers come face to face with the most terrifying life form in the universe,” reads 20th Century Studio’s official synopsis.
Alien: Romulus will introduce us to a group of brand-new characters, played by Cailee Spaeny (Priscilla), Isabela Merced (Madame Web), David Jonsson (Rye Lane), Archie Renaux (Shadow and Bone), Spike Fearn (Aftersun), and Aileen Wu.
Álvarez reached out to Ridley Scott and James Cameron while working on this film, and said they were impressed by his approach to the source material.
“Whatever Ridley said, Cameron said something different. They were all super smart comments, notes, and thoughts on the film and the filmmaking, et cetera, but both of them have completely different approaches,” Álvarez told The Hollywood Reporter.
Alien: Romulus is hitting the theaters on August 16, after the 20th Century Studio decided to shift from streaming to theatrical release.

]]>Raye made BRIT Awards history long before the ceremony finally rolled around – she came into the night with seven nods, most nominations scored by a single act in a year. She managed to triumph in six out of seven categories, only leaving the best pop act award to Dua Lipa.
Raye made quite a splash with her long-awaited debut album My 21st Century Blues, which was named the British album of the year. It prevailed against The Ballad of Darren by Blur, Beautiful and Brutal Yard by J Hus, No Thank You by Little Simz, and Heavy Heavy by Young Fathers to win this prize.
Raye was also named the British artist of the year and collected the award for the song of the year with her smash hit “Escapism” ft. 070 Shake. She also won trophies for the best R&B act, best new artist, and songwriter of the year.
Clara Amfo, Maya Jama, and Roman Kemp co-hosted the 2024 BRIT Awards, which took place on March 2 at The O2 Arena in London.

]]>Alcock landed several TV roles in her home country of Australia as a teen, before rising to prominence as the young Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen in HBO’s Game of Thrones spin-off House of the Dragon. She’s been looking for her next big role ever since, and her search finally came to an end when she defeated Emilia Jones and Meg Donnelly to be cast as Supergirl.
James Gunn confirmed her casting on social media and said he’s incredibly excited about her being a part of the DCU. He described her as “a fantastically talented young actor” and added he was blown away by her varied auditions and screen tests for Supergirl.
Alcock is expected to lead her own DCU standalone movie, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, but this project won’t mark her debut as Kara Zor-El. She’s expected to appear in another DC-based project before flying solo, but it’s still unclear if that project will be 2025’s Superman: Legacy, led by David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan.

]]>The next chapter of the Bridgerton story will shift focus to Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton), and it will chronicle their budding romance. They’ll go from friends to lovers when Bridgerton returns for Season 3, according to Netflix’s official synopsis:
“Eager to win back her friendship, Colin offers to mentor Penelope in the ways of confidence to help her find a husband this season. But when his lessons start working a little too well, Colin must grapple with whether his feelings for Penelope are truly just friendly.”
Netflix’s new images offer a glimpse of Penelope and Colin, while also teasing the return of several other characters. Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) and Kate (Simone Ashley) will be back and stronger than ever, while Hannah Dodd will join the series as Francesca Bridgerton, replacing Ruby Stokes.
Ruth Gemmell, Adjoa Andoh, Claudia Jessie, Golda Rosheuvel, Luke Thompson, and Polly Walker are also among the stars reprising their roles when Bridgerton returns this spring. Season 3 will be split into two parts, set to be released on May 16 and June 13.
